Purpose

People credited with this unit standard can train colleagues in the workplace, in accordance with organisational requirements.

Note: this unit standard is not intended for professional/specialist educators who should complete unit standard 7108.

Who Should Attend

• Organisational leaders who have to train others
• People with organisational expertise who need to inform others
• “In House” trainers who need to train new organisational members
• Volunteers who are leading and training in a community based organisation

Course Objectives 

• Determine skills and knowledge required by colleagues in accordance with organisational requirements.

• Conduct training on-job.

• Support colleagues in applying new skills and knowledge on the job.

Applicants require access to relevant workplace and two colleagues to train.

It is essential that the practical component of the assessment is authentic and completed in an actual workplace context, with all the expectations and possible consequences that

this may involve. A workplace may include but is not limited to:

• the candidate's workplace

• where the candidate is a volunteer

• a cultural, community, or sporting organisation

• a special event.
